core.
I just fenced for three and a half hours straight.
I feel AMAZING.
A little sad the North Bay Fencing Academy only does electric, so I can't use my beautiful non-electric foil, but I did finally get to do electric. and I was for the first time in complete fencing uniform [I don't own knickers or a chest plate yet].
I like that everyone has been fencing for years and I'm the noobie, so I get to be challenged in every single bout. and every person is sooo nice.
New bruise alert from Petaluma class; my arm this time. Jane just loved hitting that one spot with her electric, which means it doesn't have a rubber tip like non-electric weapons do. Ouch.
This means I'll be fencing a total of six times a week, until the summer semester is over; Monday-Thursday, and twice on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Good-bye, flabby arms!
Nationals are next week in San Jose, and I cannot wait to watch them. I know Serena is gonna go with me, now I just want a few other to as well.
Life besides that is mostly good.
Spent nearly all my cheap paycheck on Steeley Dan tickets for my dad. But they're hella good seats, and he is so stoked off them. Going swimming with Dad, Diane, Parker, and Diane's two grandsons on Wednesday before class since it's my day off. Shall be so nice.
What won't be so nice is opening the day after the 4th. Joe's having a shindig, and I wanna go and party, but opening on possibly an hour of sleep, if even, will suck. If I go I'm sure I'll just rest most of the day before, since we have the 4th off. Wish we didn't...time and a half is always nice.
Gonna go to bed fairly soon, opening with Mare-Bear. I'm gonna sleep soooo good tonight.
