Tuesday you would have been forty-seven.
I don't think I can imagine you at that age. I wonder what would we have talked about; I know you could have helped me with a lot of questions. I wonder what you would think of the girl I am now, what I'm doing with my life, and who my friends are. Would things still be good between you and Dad? And what high school would Parker have gone to?
Sadly I think this will be another Christmas without a tree; another one without you.
I want to pull out the old decorations, buy a tree from the lot across from our house, and trim it with my friends while we make sugar cookies and watch old Christmas movies from the 50's...
But I don't know if that's going to happen.
