Yesterday I was helping a girl at work and her mom came in, and I was running to the back a lot to get her some shoes. When I came back out the mom started apologizing because she felt she was being really rude to me. I told her she wasn't, because she wasn't, and she started explaining why she was tired. She said she was in the studio til one this morning and was really tired. That's when I got excited.
She told me she was a songwriter and worked in Novato and I told her I was a violinist and was planning on becoming a studio musician. So she gave me her card and told me to email her as soon as I could. she said she loves working with musicians who play real instruments, and will have projects for me to work on.
Hooray for my first step towards stardom and actually using my connections!
