The show tonight at The Shop went well for the most part. I was so nervous about Space Oddity and Across the Universe, but our friends in the crowd definitely made things better. It was hard for my fiddle to be heard, I had to get really close to the mic, so I think I'm going to save up for a pick-up. Or better yet, a beautiful electric violin. Gaah, I've always wanted one. Spike did exceptional, especially since I had never really heard any of The Bunker's music. Horizons was awesome. At All Times I could have done without...not a big fan of screaming lyricists and God-awful fog machines you can taste. It was like Q-Zar...from Hell. And Nick, Goodriddler, was really really good. I met him after our set, and appreciated what he had to say. Even though I didn't exactly know what I was doing up there, I held my composure...and looked pretty. Aw, gee.
Joe had a little pyrate-like outfit, and we kindof matched on accident, and he looked quite good in his silly ways.
Picked names for Secret Santas, finally, and I'm excited. Mine will be easy, and also kindof hard to shop for. :D
Tomorrow Parker and I and most likely Erin will be going to the cemetary in Sebastopol to see Mom and bring flowers. I keep thinking someday it'll be a little easier without her, but I don't think I ever really let myself grieve and now I am a few years later. So many things I'm going through that I want to ask her and talk to her about, and just know about her life before I was around. Anyway, if Erin comes tomorrow, we're gonna visit my baby [the DeLorean in Pelini Chevrolet] and hit up some Screamin' Mimi's. Then we plan on seeing I Am Legend, and then The Golden Compass [HIGH!], or seeing GC first. Either way, it'll be a great double feature. Also, I have orchestra, which I should probably go to, since Sing Along Messiah is this week. Damnit.
